I recently stayed at this hotel with my family of four and unfortunately had a disappointing experience that left us feeling cheated.
We booked the room directly through IHG.com, the hotel’s official website, and chose a rate that included breakfast. However, upon check-in, we were told that breakfast was only included for 2 people, and I would need to pay extra for my two children. This was never clearly mentioned during the booking process.
What’s more frustrating is that a friend of ours booked the same hotel on the same day for a family of four — but through Booking.com — and their reservation included breakfast for all four people was 294 for two days. We paid 316 for two days.
The staff at the front desk were firm about the policy and made no effort to accommodate or explain why a third-party booking site offered a better deal than the official one. It felt unfair and insulting, especially since we intentionally chose to book through the hotel’s own website expecting better transparency and service.
The takeaway? Booking through the hotel’s website did not offer any advantage — in fact, it cost us more. I trusted the official platform, and sadly, it backfired.
Hope the management takes note and improves the clarity of their inclusions and pricing. Families booking through your own site should not feel penalized for doing so.
