I had this reservation scheduled for about a month. I reserved a king bed with stadium view close to elevators as I am disabled. I called 2 days before my arrival to confirm my reservation. Everything a go. Next day I received a text confirming my room and any additional requests I could send by text. So I sent a text back to make sure it's a stadium room. Im traveling from Texas for a medical evaluation at Nebraska Medicine. We get here to ck in and Jon helped us. Advised room was just being cleaned at 230 and anywhere from 30 mins to an hr our room would be ready. We waited over an hr to be told by Ana that she was barely gonna call housekeeping to get on room. So I told her I would not be returning to this hotel her response was OK. Really some customer service this Holiday Inn has. Also told her that I would be putting a comment on website she went to the back and grabbed the GM, who came out all flamboyant on me. Telling me ck in is 4pm and it could be up to 6pm but his housekeepers were doing thier best and went back wherever he came from. After going back and forth with Ana she said she could put us in another room since we were tired. Ana ckd us into room 440 no stadium view nor near the elevators as previously requested. Ana slid a paper to me I asked her what was this she said to me you can read can't you? Yes I can read but can you explain it to me and save me the trouble. Ana told me just sign it. How can you tell a customer just to sign a paper without explanation. I slid the paper back to her like she did me. Ana got mad and went ham on me. Why is it ok for you to treat me bad but its not ok when i do it bsck. Its not the stadium view I paid for instead im at the end of the hall and my view is the A/C of the hotel. Really come on Holiday Inn you could've done better then this. The GM needs to talk to his staff about lying, providing better customer service, not to be rude or arguing with a customer him included. As soon as we got in the room I called IHG to complain.

The rooms were nice and I loved the location, but every other interaction with this hotel has been bizarre. We had reserved a suite and on the drive to Omaha got a call asking if we "really needed one." Well, turns out they didn't have one to give us due to a maintenance issue. They offered us a lesser room at the same price, and then said we were free to cancel if we didn't like that option. We were on the way, it was late and it was Labor Day weekend so I let them know we needed a room and we would deal with it at check in. At check in I was told that they will give us 2 rooms for half of what we paid, but we were traveling with little kids so having them in a fully separate room was not an option. In the end, they gave us a lesser room for a discount. Or, that is what we were told. Turns out, we were charged for 2 rooms. I filed a request for a refund on the app and emailed the manager. The manager - Daniel- responds that he tried to call me, but had the wrong number. I gave him the correct number and asked if there was anything else he needed from me to get the refund and he said no. Well, a few days go by and we have no refund, receipt confirming a refund is coming or anything other than the one email confirming that he was working on it. I have a credit card bill that is due and an extra $422 charge on it. So I email and call again. My husband receives a call back from Daniel today who argued that he had spoken to me on the phone and that I had even written a review (neither of those things had happened). He also pulled up a reservation from May (we stayed in September) and said that a refund was processed on 9/5 for this (I had not contacted him until 9/12 so the dates are not making sense). So, to clarify things, my husband gets us on a three-way call to work this out. I say that I have not received a phone call about this at all. Daniel then says he doesn't want to argue semantics and actually has a meeting to get to so he can't deal with us at this time. So I guess we now have to dispute this charge with our credit card company.
