Stayed here for 3 nights. Did not get good sleep a single time. I work nights remotely and they had work orders going on around the property, without telling guests beforehand at all. No notice when I checked in, or when I booked the hotel. Power washing the roof, power washing the drive way, now some kind of drilling/power tool sound. Property manager tells me she didn't know they had roof cleaners coming in. Admits she should've known, but something went wrong. Moved my room, and the guys power washing the drive way the next day wake me up anyways.
Some of the appliances don't work very well. The first room I stayed in the microwave plate didn't sit well despite my efforts to reseat it, and would bounce around the microwave during operation, sounding like a circus. The second room's fridge lights are just mysteriously missing. Just dead.
If I'm complaining about other hotel guests normal daily activities while I'm trying to sleep during the day, my problem. But if you have work orders coming in where power tools can be heard on the first floor, you MIGHT want to tell guests beforehand? Just because it's during the day time doesn't mean I'm not entitled to peace and quiet. Manager tried to turn it on me the last time I tried to bring this attention to her attention, trying to gaslight me by saying well other guests don't complain about it (so maybe you shouldn't either).
Unfortunately I will not be staying at ANY holiday inn establishments in the future. Sub-par service and sub-par property management. How the hell does a work order as big as the roof being power cleaned by an external team NOT be made aware to staff and management? THEY DO NOT TREAT HOTEL GUESTS WELLBEING AS TOP PRIORITY.
