I've stayed at this hotel multiple times. I've chosen it because I am a Hilton Honors member and I value the amenities that Hampton Inns offer. The rooms are clean, even if they are laid out a bit strangely. The housekeeping staff is extremely friendly....

The rooms are clean, even if they are laid out a bit strangely. The housekeeping staff is extremely friendly. The included breakfast is simple and enjoyable I like the location with its almost "central" location and seemingly safe area...until my last visit in mid-July.
If parking at the hotel, you must both register with the front desk and pay an additional nightly fee, which is somewhat understandable due to the hotel's proximity to the arena & stadium. They *seem* to have security all over the property. Regardless of all that, my vehicle was stolen in the middle of the night while parked right outside my room. When I approached the front desk, the Assistant Manager was immediately defensive and cold as I politely asked if they'd had any cars towed as I was positive I'd registered mine with them. Instead of acting compassionate or with any sense of urgency, he fumbled with his computer and rambled on about having to contact a vendor to review camera footage and that I'd have to personally call the police. No apology, no recognition that I was shaken by what had happened,.
Over an hour later the police arrived and even then the assistant manager had still not "heard back" from his vendor and offered no real assistance. At one point he claimed something like this had never happened there. Right. I guess he missed all of the local news reports on cartel-linked theft rings in Glendale and Peoria. Maybe it was easy to steal mine because the security guard was illegally parked in an ADA spot and barely awake in a lobby easy chair. Hard to say!
After my stay I completed an internal Hilton "how was your stay?" survey where I also outlined these concerns and requested a follow-up. Weeks later, I have yet to hear from anyone at Hilton/Hampton. I don't think I'll stay here again.
