This place sucks. Upon check in we were given a room that reeked of sawdust and mold. We were moved to another room that smelled better than that. The stay was decent until the final night, when the sprinkler system depressurized and caused the fire alarm to go off. I slept through the first 30 seconds or so. I’m a pretty heavy sleeper, but I usually wake up at the sound of fire alarms. This did not sound like a normal alarm, with a sequence of three loud tones that repeat after each other. This was one continuous noise. This is very unsafe, had this been an actual fire, some people may not have woken up to it, like I didn’t. To make things worse, there was a haze in the hallway (someone was vaping) which caused me to think, at first glance, that there was an actual fire going on. Just as I was about to fall back asleep, it went off again. After this, I went to the front desk and demanded they accommodate us at another hotel, and they agreed to move us to their sister location off of Chestnut and 65. Apparently after I was gone, the fire alarms went off TWO MORE TIMES. Wow. I’m glad I didn’t spend the rest of the night there. Stay away if you want sleep.
