due to unforeseen circumstances I found myself in need of lodging, after staying at two disgusting motels prior for 1 week each I checked into this motel and found it quite pleasant, until I heard there was a bedbug infestation, but on the 2nd floor I was not affected by this, if I had I would have left immediately, I had my own bedding so as I started to change the sheets I shockingly saw the mattress (see photo), it looked like either a murder had been committed or body fluids had leaked profusely, so I asked to have a different mattress but they would not comply so I put gloves and a mask on and covered the mattress in thick plastic, I know it sounds horrible but I was in desperate need of somewhere to stay, and then the cockroaches started parading through the room, even though they were few it was gross, mostly because there was a kitchenette, so because this was the "nicest" place to date I continued to stay there, then on the Thursday of the 4th week I was informed by the manager that at the end of the 4th week I would have to check out and if I wanted to check back in I could, I asked what the hell was she talking about, she told me it was a city ordinance and suggested I contact city hall, which I did, and it is an ordinance but it is up to the individual venue to enforce the ordinance or not, I had talked to several other people that had been "living" there, some for over 2 years, and they told me they had never been asked to leave, so I had to ask the manager why she was making me check out and she just said "please check out", so on the following Monday I checked out, now I would not have been upset about this and not made myself a little comfortable had I been notified upon checking in but I was not and didn't appreciate being told with 4 days left, so there ya go...
