Stayed for two nights at the end of July. The Rooms were updated, large, and very clean. Staff were exceptionally friendly, from the front desk to the shops, spa, and pool. We enjoyed returning to our room to find nice little touches from the cleaning crew. The exercise room is well equipped and probably the nicest hotel gym I’ve ever been inside. Also, I was very grateful to receive a lower rate on my room at checkin, having noticed that rates were nearly half of what i had paid when booking the reservation six weeks prior.
It was nice to have access to the Mandalay Bay pools, but they were overcrowded to the point that it was uncomfortable - The lazy river wasn’t even moving, it was so full of people! So it was very nice to come back to the quiet and relaxing four seasons pool.
If you do wander to the Mandalay Bay pools, we were told that the four seasons has floats for the lazy river for guests to borrow so you can avoid spending $35/float.
The only low point we experienced was that the umbrellas at the pool were lowered in the middle of the afternoon due to occasional wind. My Irish friend could not handle the sun, so we weren’t able to spend as much time at the pool as we had wanted or planned. I understand the circumstances but surely there are umbrellas out there that can better handle wind, and a 5-star hotel in Vegas can offer pool-side shade to their guests in middle of summer.
Overall, i would definitely return. It’s a great escape from the chaos that is the Vegas strip, an adult oasis in the desert.
