The most unprofessional front desk and manager I’ve ever encountered.
I booked and paid for my room through Booking.com. Despite showing the front desk my confirmation emails and receipts, they insisted I had not prepaid.
The manager arrogantly claimed there was “no way” I had paid. While I pulled up my bank statement to prove the transaction, he whispered to the front desk, “there’s no transaction,” as if I wasn’t standing right there.
He then tried to argue it was impossible for me to have paid because the transaction showed a future date- the pending clearance date, which he clearly didn’t understand.
Instead of helping, they left me on the phone with Booking.com support for hours in the lobby. I could hear Booking.com explaining to the front desk that the room had been paid for and even sent an email confirming it. Still no resolution. Finally, the manager came out and asked why I didn’t have Booking.com call them (they already had, multiple times). His response?
“You know what? I’m going to cancel the booking.”
I travel extensively for work and have stayed at hundreds of properties worldwide. This was, by far, the most shocking and unprofessional experience I’ve had at a hotel.
If you value your time, money, and basic decency avoid this place.
