Overall the place was nice and the area around it was amazing. The staff was also nice. Some mornings it was a bit challenging to get through the "food lines". We went in late April 2025 thinking most spring breakers would be gone from the area, which wasn't really the case. What we did not realize was how dirty the floor was in our room. We thought it was mostly from the balcony, which faced the water, but it also was within the room as well. Like to go barefoot (it is the Florida Keys btw) in the room and our feet were black each day from just walking around the place. The one other item that, of no fault of the staff there, is the design of the space. The A/C unit was positioned to blow the hot air out on the balcony; however, as you sit outside to enjoy the nice breeze, and it's roughly 80+ degrees or more out there, you also get the 100+ degrees blowing directly on you as you sit to enjoy the outdoors. You also get to hear the unit running at approx. 80 dB, so it was lovely trying to talk while that annoying unit is running. We turned it off a couple of times while we were outside, but the room heated up so fast, it had a difficult time trying to catch back up. Setting the unit around 65 degrees was basically keeping the room around 75 instead. To pay the extra to face the water, was disappointing overall while fighting to manage that beast. Again, not the fault of the staff, but as many places we have been and traveled to, I don't recall this ever being an issue where the A/C unit took over your "calm space" and kept you from enjoying the outdoors. I have since asked myself if we were to stay there again and that one item may be the deal breaker for us....unless we come later in the season and you no longer need A/C in the room.
