I booked my stay at FacesOasis through AirBnB, and I stayed here because it was a cheap place to stay, and it kept me off of being on the streets, and was located directly across the street from the West Oakland BART station. My stay through AirBnB expired, and I have been paying off site to the manager weekly since, but I would not stay here again, not while Cassandra is the house "manager".
Cassandra does a poor job at managing the household, and will let vital house supplies run out completely, such as hand soap to wash your hands with after using the restroom, paper towels to dry your hands with, dish soap, and cleaning supplies.
I have stayed here for about two months, and they do not professionally clean the house. I understand not being able to afford daily cleanings, but to not even have a weekly cleaning is inexcusable.
There are two restrooms, and one restroom has had a toilet that has a broken toilet seat for two weeks that hasn't been replaced.
There are not enough silverware for the household, as Cassandra keeps all of the spares in her room and hoards them, and there has only been one spoon in the kitchen for days, to share between the current six people staying here. She has the silverware to make it so we're not all fighting over one spoon, she just refuses to bring them down.
The floors leave your feet black after a couple minutes of walking around in them. That's how dirty the floors are.
Cassandra will constantly ask for food from guests, knowing full well she's out of something, and knowing someone else has what she's needing in order to make a dish.
She also constantly is asking for assistance from house guests to do manual labor of putting away house supplies, or attending to other house needs.
Several house guests have brought up concerns to her, and have been ignored by her, and put all of the blame on the house owner. The house owner is not who I blame for these issues, as these are not owner issues. Everything I have mentioned, is something a manager should be handling, at their expense and then they be compensated by the owner, not leaving the house guests to suffer.
Cassandra is not fit to be the house manager anymore, and I will not be returning until a new house manager is at FacesOasis, who can actually do the job of house manager.
