After pulling in and parking, there were the usual shady people walking around the parking lot and property that you would expect, but none of them bothered me.
After walking into the lobby, you are instantly hit by the smell of weed (but hey, it is Toledo, what do you expect). The lady at the front desk was nice and the check-in process was quick.
I got my room key and headed towards my room. The entire hotel is laminate flooring, so it is loud and echoey. Once I walked into my room, we were again hit by a smell, but instead cleaning products, which I suppose is a good sign. The room itself was pretty run down: the furniture was worn, the walls were patched numerous times, the trim was poorly repaired, etc. The room did have a large TV with cable and the bed was surprisingly comfy (no bugs).
Overall, it was right about what I expected. I would not stay here with a family or kids, but I would definitely stay here again if I decided to.
