After making an online reservation, I received a courtesy call at around midnight, asking if I were still checking in. At that point, I was asleep, but I explained there was confusion; that I was intent on staying the following day. It is possible I made the mistake online, and was willing to pay for both nights and explained my situation. The concierge changed the date to the next day, though hung up the phone abruptly. Thinking the call was dropped, I called back. The same fellow I had just spoken to stated he changed the date and once again ended the conversation by hanging up abruptly. I let it slide, but upon arrival/check-in, he groaned as I stated my name, as if I were a bad memory. I had been in traffic for 6 hours, only to arrive to rudeness. I asked if it were he I had spoken to the night prior, and he confirmed that it was, though he denied hanging up on me. I stood my ground, expressing my beliefs, and reminded him I called back after the first time, apologizing if I inadvertently hung up somehow, only to be hung up upon once again! He did apologize finally. I let him know that based upon he demeanor, his lack of any hospitable etiquette, and his disposition towards me, I felt very unwelcome. He would not give his name, despite being politely asked. He volunteered to call the hotel manager, but when he did, spoke only Hindi, and would not provide any names, nor allow me to speak to the manager. I started to leave, but he then offered me the phone. I stated what was happening to the person on the phone, who claimed he would see me soon. I felt like hanging up on him. The concierge then explained the manager would arrive shortly in order to check me in. After 15 minutes, a man, claiming to be the manager, appeared, but would not provide his name, business card, or any other credentials. He eventually told me the actual manager was on vacation. He then threatened to call police over his dislike of my questioning. I then departed with out further incident, while the "manager" threatened to charge me for 2 nights I did not stay. Not only were these people very rude, the grounds and the structure looked dingy and shabby. I am glad I did not stay there and would not recommend such a place to anyone. I actually stayed here once before, last year, though when I arrived this time, I immediately realized I had forgotten how lousy this place was and felt strong remorse at the fact I made another reservation here. However, I just needed someplace to sleep. Any motel would have been equally suitable to this junky place.
Incidentally, I followed up my complaints with the corporate offices (these are franchised and independently owned), as well as with the Better Business Bureau. I would strongly recommend against staying at this location!
