We reserved a: 1 Bedroom 2 room suite on 9/21/25 for 9/26/25. We checked in at 4:35pm and were given our key. When we entered the room we were shocked that we had been given a regular room. Thinking it was in error we went to the front desk and were told that the GM had changed it that very afternoon because they had 2 weddings in the hotel that weekend. I asked for the Front Desk Supervisor (named - Caress) if there were any suites left for us instead of the small room and she told us that the room we had was a suite (dark with 2 queens and a sofa), and that they didn't have any 2 room suites in the hotel, at all. Of which I know was a lie, based on the pictured room (online) we reserved and the price which was twice the amount of the room we had received. She finally looked up the website and saw that I was correct. I also asked why we were not inform of the change when we checked in and she said she forgot. This was very disappointing as we had been traveling all day and we were running late for the Funeral service we had come for. The management of this hotel does not reflect the usual standards of the Marriott hotels. We had another negative experience while sitting on the patio having lunch the next day. We had the clean the table as it was filthy and surrounded by empty beverage containers. A housekeeper came as we were sitting there to clean the trash cans with a bucket of bleach/water. When she finished one can she tossed the contents of the bucket right at our feet, hitting my shoes. My husband got his up just in time. She then proceeded to do the same toward the only other guest on the patio...hitting her shoes. We said nothing to her as she glared at us after her actions in a very hostile way. We just exited to the lobby to finish our meal with bleach on our feet. My shoes were ruined. Also, the entire time we were there the men's room had zero paper towels. The Management is so lax I can't imagine the weddings went off without disappointment. The only staff that was efficient and friendly was the staff in the Bistro. The shame of it all is the hotel is in a very nice area and should do very well. I have pictures of this disaster of a visit, should you want to see them. Belinda Collins
