Customer service was nice enough. Nothing above and beyond. Definitely not returning to Comfort Suites in Waycross GA. Made reservations to include service animal (not emotional support). Arrived and was told our room was no dogs allowed. That was quickly resolved with a room reassignment. Loaded everything in the dog friendly room and got settled in. Went to take a shower and discovered the bathroom door will not latch shut. Not a huge deal so I didn't complain. I just wanted to get some rest after the travel. Our son wanted to use his laptop and needed access to wifi so we followed directions on their room flyer and attempted to call the service desk from the room phone to get the wifi instructions. Well, no dial tone. So I assumed it was unplugged. I picked up the phone and discovered something sticky under the phone. Then attempted to pull the night table away from the wall so I can see the plug.....again I put my fingers in something sticky under the top of the night table. Anyways...I keep rolling and go to the front desk to get the wifi info. Now for the sleep I so desired.....didn't happen on either one of the 2 nights we were there. There is a small bright light at the bottom of the TV that is facing directly at the beds, any and all noises from outside and in the hall was not filtered at all.....I heard everything. On top of typical noises, there were random loud slamming noises that I can only assume were related to some door. The next day our son wanted to use the indoor pool so we took him. When we were ready to go we discovered absolutely no clean dry towels on the rack....only balled up wet ones in the baskets. The day of check out I was going to dry my hair with their blow dryer. Thank God I tested it before I put it to my hair because a live roach was blown out when I turned it on!!! There were a couple more annoyances about this stay, but I think you get the point. Never again. Did I share any of this with the staff? No, I shouldn't have to. This is plain old lack of management. Before I wrote this, I read previous comments and saw a lot of reports of unsatisfactory visits that were never resolved. So no point in complaining. Just don't go there.
