Read MoreI waited at the airport hotel shuttle area for 1 hour as every other hotel's shuttle came and went. I finally called the hotel to inquire, and they told me I was "supposed to call" for a ride. Okay, sure - I was unaware of this, so chalked it up to being my own mistake. The person asked how many people were in my party (just me), what my last name is, and said the shuttle would be 20 minutes. 10 minutes later, the shuttle shows up and filled up completely - thankfully I was able to snag a spot. Nobody else in the van said that they had called for the shuttle, yet I was told that I had to? And the driver (who drove the shuttle which was advertised for multiple Choice hotels) asked if we were all going to Comfort Inn as we left, which lead me to believe there was no communication between the driver and the "dispatcher".
Anyways, not the end of the world - to the hotel we went. My check-in process was fine, the employee at the counter was pleasant. Got to the room and checked for bugs - all good, thankfully :).
I honestly don't expect much, especially from a low budget hotel. However, outside of your typical things between customers (bedding, fresh towels, etc.), I don't think that anything in this hotel room has been cleaned in years.
- There was dried splash marks on the lamp, in the nightstand, on the picture frames, the walls.. literally everywhere
- Something crusty that looked like boogers on the bed skirt
- A stain on the bedding
- Long hair on the carpet that got tangled around my toes
- Mold in the bathroom sink (my photo only shows a spot that's immediately apparent, but the entire area of the sink where it meets the counter was covered in grime and mold)
- Hair on the clean towels
- Dust and crumbs in the drawers
- Literal dust bunnies hanging on the walls above the bed
- All light switches have a significant amount of dirt build up on them
Okay, gross but I was only staying one night so whatever. Some bonus observations:
• The coffee machine, drinking cups, and ice bucket are all in the bathroom...? Wtf?!
• You have to walk through the pool area to get to the breakfast room, which is gross
• I asked where I could fill my water bottle up and the only option was a dirty little drinking fountain next to the pool
• No password on the wifi, so it's totally unsecured
HOWEVER, I will add... the bed and pillows were comfortable, at least!
Absolutely wouldn't recommend this hotel or stay here again.
