Read More[I'm editing my overall rating based on thoughtful and responsive reply by the manager, as I do not want one rude employee to affect overall rating]. Aside from one disrespectful and impolite employee, described below, we had a nice experience. The lady who checked us in on 5/20 was phenomenal. She gave us a warm greeting and was very pleasant. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel, our room, and all the hotel staff we encountered. We felt like we were at home. All that changed early the next morning around 5 am when I was working in the common area so I wouldn't wake my daughter. The lady behind the front desk started to clean the area where I was sitting. She said "I need to clean." Not even an "excuse me" or "I'll only be 10 minutes". It was like she was talking to one of her kids. When I asked her if I could move to another table in the area, she responded with a sarcastic "really." Yes, really. She had at least a 400 square foot area with at least 4 tables that she could have worked around but that would have been too much of an inconvenience for her or delayed her getting back to the receptionist area to work on her knitting. I thought I found a very affordable and clean hotel to stay at while my daughter is attending school in the area for the next 3 years, but I don't need to deal with someone with such a pathetic attitude.
