We had issue after issue when we spent the weekend. Our son had a golf tournament at Callaway, so we decided to make a weekend out of it and explore the gardens and the Pumpkin activities. (1) When we arrived, front desk was very short with her answers, explained nothing, then gave us a map with directions to the wrong cottage. We only realized after we got out of the car and loaded ourselves down with our bags, approached our cottage circled on the map only to find other people in it. (2) when we got to our correct cottage, we nearly just turned around. It reminded me of a poorly kept college apartment with cheap blinds, cheap curtains, crumbling grout, scratchy towels, a weird smell. This cottage was over $400/night. (3) our daughter got sick overnight (we think from bad fruit from Cason’s) and we needed new sheets on Saturday. I asked house keeping to please change her sheets. We came back to find a trash bag full of linens on our porch. So then we had to figure out what sheets belonged with that bed and make it ourselves. (4) the golf course needed work too. The bunkers were not maintained with hard sand and debris. (5) as we waited for the shuttle to the pumpkin activities, an employee asked that we hold onto a broom for him until the shuttle gets there and give it to the bus driver. The employee said he was too busy to handle it right now. So we should do it?? (6) I thought the pumpkins would be the saving activity. Wrong. We took the shuttle to the corn maze that went so slow all the riders were joking about jumping out and walking faster. Painfully slow. Lines were incredibly long for most, especially any food or drink. The bright spot was leaving at 7am on Sunday as soon as we all woke up. Don’t waste your time or money. We won’t be back.
