Amazing campground (as long as you're cool with pit toilets and without showers). Great picnic tables and fire rings. We're tent campers and loved this place. There's only 7 tent sites and they're on the opposite side of the lake from the RV's (I think...Read More

Huge clear lake. We saw a big gator laying on the bank. Mosquitoes will eat you alive out there. Plenty of bream oscar and gar if you like fishing. Caught a few just throwing a small beetle spinner lure.

Very quiet, relaxed campground. No water or electric, so come prepared. Tent sites r generally spacious and spread out except T4 and T5. Tent sites have great sunrise views when not foggy.

Nice little campground. Not much privacy, but the water in the lake was super clear (no swimming though) and our camp hosts were really nice.

Campground hosts aren't enforcing quiet hours, woken up by RV generators at midnight then again at 530am both nights we stayed. RVs need to camp at Monument, just a couple miles to the east if they can't live without electricity, tents need someplace to enjoy...Read More

Nice, simple Campground. The rv space is facing the wrong way, away from the water. Alligators do live in the lake. Not dog walking friendly.

It is a really beautiful campground. Only downside and a warning to other astronomers, the night skies are actually not very dark. I went here to set up a telescope, and I was very disappointed how bright the sky was towards Miami.

Very quiet, not too crowded, hosts were helpful and friendly, didn’t see any gators or bears. The bugs got really bad right after sundown, but fortunately we had a screened in awning. What are you gonna do? That’s camping in the Everglades. Overall had a...Read More

Nice small lake with a nature feeling. I camped on tent side which is spread out. Was peaceful until the people next to me had family members stop by at about 10 PM and up talking until 1 AM. Gators in the lake host told...Read More

Site was nice but very close to the lake. We were one of the only ones there and it is quite terrifying. You hear splashing every 20 or 30 minutes or so that can only come from alligators and when we woke up there was...Read More

I just drove by as I was braving Route 41, but this is an excellent primitive campground. Huge lake on the center, means fishing the entire day (and eating), plus wild forest all over, great for hunting. They have bear proof food storage, bathroom (no water or...Read More

I'm used to more primitive/wilderness camping, but was pleased by this campground. It's nice that the RVs are across the lake, you hardly notice them as a tent-camper. The tent sites are set up where vegetation borders a pair of sites, so you will have...Read More

Tent camped here for two nights. First night was great. Very peaceful. Had an amazing spot. The second night was a little rough. A couple of younger kids decided to get very drunk and play loud electronic music and scream obscenities until about 3 am....Read More

They had water here, you are definitely out in nature, lightning bugs, mosquitoes, a central lake with camp sites on two sides and good spacing in between the sites. There are just pit toilets here and i didn't have a cell signal but it …

You can not burn at burns lake. Only 4 maybe 5 spots to camp with shade. Must bring cash to pay for your spot and leave it in an envelope at the entrance. There are bears in the area and food must be kept in...Read More

Not terrible, but the heat will destroy you unless you visit in Dec, Jan, or Feb. No generators past 10 or 11pm and the camp attendant can be annoying and a trouble maker. Also, bring your bug spray becuase whenever you go the mosquitos will...Read More

Very quiet at night. Listen to the Owls. Bit of a bumpy road coming in. The lake is crystal clear. Ben here several times over the years. Will return.

By far the best Big Cypress campground, no Tamiami trail road noise! Beware-no showers or freshwater available.

Awesome little campground with fun hosts! There are two bathrooms but everything else it's primitive. Beware of bugs there are a lot off them.

Off road primative camping. Reserve online. Pay cash. 6 tent spots, fire ring bench table. Gators, bear box for food. It's not a zoo. They will bite.
