The Good:
+Includes amenities!
+Free pool access! It was frequently closed during open hours, but staff would unlock it if the wasn't due to maintenance etc.
+Free gym access! (the Wi-Fi seems to work here, allowing decent video streaming at times)
+Incredibly pleasant staff!
+Pets galore! Any breed and size seem to be accepted here!
+Dog areas! This was a great area for your dogs to relax or play, as it had a reasonable amount of shade and even access to water and a hose, allowing you to bathe your pooch! (This area was inaccessible frequently however, as access was dependant on the pool being open. Four rooms have backdoor access to the main dog area.)
+The internet outside actually seemed to work quite well for the most part!
The Bad:
-Problematic plumbing (our tub would take 5+ hours to drain, IF also plunged); confirmed to be broken before we moved in, but unable to be fixed by staff/4 bottles of drain-o and a drain auger.
- The internet is effectively unusable. Netflix may work once in a blue moon, but you'll need to start using voodoo to get Hulu to consistently work!
- The heat; I understand that it's El Centro, but an A/C unit should work well enough to allow uninterrupted sleep due to hot sweats.
Points of Interest:
×For the price it's hard to beat!
×May lose a lot of hair over the poor internet connection, and fluctuating temperatures in summer!
×While our plumbing situation wasn't typical, it's hard to say if it's much better in the other rooms!
×Easy to maintain with great amenities when available, but furniture can vary. Our room had a standard refrigerator intended for an apartment, as opposed to the mini fridges in certain rooms.
×Potential rent increases due to either pet owners not cleaning up after their pets, or in certain cases of needing a plumber.
