The rooms were very clean and well stocked. The second of the two rooms I had booked had a lingering smoker smell, but it dissipated fairly quickly
The breakfast was great, especially for a more budget hotel. Hot options like eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes throughout the week, as well as waffles, yogurt, and fresh fruit.
There was some remodeling and construction occurring during the weeks I stayed, so for noise and environment, I took away one star. Paint fumes were fairly strong on the 3rd floor, and when I was on the 1st floor, they began remodeling the room next to mine. As I was a night shift worker, I was attempting to sleep in the day time and this made the process a little difficult.
The only other complaint I would have is that noise enforcement is a little lax. It was close to midnight and there were a group of younger people (sounded like teenagers) carrying on very loudly outside my room when I was trying to sleep on an off day. This occurred off and on for 30 minutes. I gave them time to disperse and go into their rooms, which they finally did, before calling the front desk. This all occurred on the first floor, so I had mistakenly presumed that the staff at the front could hear it.
Overall, if I were to return to Columbia and would be in need of accommodation, I would absolutely consider being here again. I appreciate the staff and can tell most of them do truly care about their job and work as such. Thanks again!
