If I could put 0 stars, I would. I will NEVER stay and/or recommend an Oyo Hotel. The only positive thing is that the manager understood our concern and gave us a full refund when we decided within 30 minutes that we didn’t want to stay. We rented a non-smoking room, and when we, my 15 year-old step-daughter and I, went into our room, and it smelled like an ashtray. Just filled with the smell of smoke. There were cigarette burns in the blankets, and there were scratches everywhere. When we went to close the curtain, they were held together by a black plastic fork. When we went to the office to ask for a better room, there was another guest who was also in a non-smoking room, who was smoking in front of their door. We asked the manager for a new room, and had to wait in the hot sun for him to finally come. When he got into the room, he quickly realized why we wanted to change because it did not meet the expectation of the non-smoking room. He asked if we wanted to switch to the room next door, so I told my stepdaughter to stay and watch the things while I checked. That room was better, but still didn’t look how the website or anything said. But, our new neighbor came out, and smelled like pot. So he offered us a room further down. That room was interesting to say the least. We switched our belongings into that room and I left my stepdaughter in there, told her to lock the doors and went to go get our key. She did some inspecting of the room before I went in. When I got to the room with my key, our newest neighbor asked me if I had drugs. Great. So I quickly said no and got in the room. My step daughter had found out that the bathroom was disgusting, there were white stains on the carpet, the door looked like it was trying to be broken into there, there were markings on the wall, most of our drawers were broken, there were cigarette burns on the couch, holes in the curtain, and there was tissue in the peephole. We were appalled. NOTE: there was not a phone or a direct number to call in ANY of the rooms we were offered. After calling the company phone, being on like a 7 minute wait, trying to me transferred to this Oyo location, we went downstairs and asked for a refund, because we didn’t feel safe or comfortable. So, this Oyo was an O-No. Never again.
