Read MoreI wish I had read the reviews. This place was an absolute disaster. Consistently it disappointed. I have NEVER had this bad of experience at a Marriott property. Let’s not start with all the negatives, the positives…downtown which is convenient to restaurants and local activities, nice ambiance, on site bar, and beautiful décor.
I booked a room for 5 days. Upon arriving on my floor, I noticed specks of trash throughout the hallway. Directly across from my room, the room had a quite a bit of debris and what appeared to be apple peels. It appeared as if the vacuum cleaner had spilled the debris it picked up. I noticed the cleaning cart at the end of the hall, so I figured they just hadn’t made their way to vacuuming down the hall. Upon my return later that evening, I noticed the toilet paper was used and was not a new role of toilet paper. The replacement toilet paper in the room had a pink residue on it. I’ve never check into a hotel and had to use toilet paper from a previous guest. I called downstairs and they said they didn’t have a night cleaning crew, but they would have someone come to “refresh” my room. The next morning, I stopped downstairs and mentioned this to the front desk. They said they would have the manager contact me. Because I had paid for 5 days, I wanted to know when I could check out without penalty, again I would need to wait to hear from a manager. Fast forward to 8 pm Wednesday night and I return to my room with no service again. The room hadn’t been clean. I have been acquiring my own towels from the front desk since my arrival. Thursday morning, I called and finally spoke with a manager, and she was dismissive of ALL my concerns. I will not even bother to stay the remaining days. It is a waste of my money!
