Why I sought help: It was a domino effect for me over time. I had broke both my toes and it was messing up my gate as I walked which quick escalated into lower and mid back pain. I thought I could soldier through it and hoped it would go away. Fast forward 4 weeks later, my toes were much better but my back did not get better and had got even worse. I couldn’t get in and out of bed without 8 or 9 level pain. The pain was the same when I got in and out of the car as well. Simple tasks were unbelievably painful: getting groceries, picking up things from the floor, putting my shoes on… It wasn’t til my 6 year old son wanted a piggy back ride and I had to tell him “No, daddy can’t right now.” The look of disappointment on his face killed me. It was then I decided to see Dr. Press. Arrival and waiting room: Now I’ve never been to a chiropractor before, so i didn’t know what to expect. The moment I walked in I was greeted very warmly and Dr Press himself, came to greet me and everyone else in the waiting room. He is kind man, but how good was he? Paperwork: The team made it easy for me to fill out. I didn’t have to download an app and fill things out and hope it would go to the right email address. Nothing like that, it was maybe 5 pages centered on the normal stuff and most importantly where it hurt. The treatment: X-rays by Dr Press Ultra Sound therapy from tech Chiropractic treatment from Dr Press When it was my turn to go in, the team member Octavia, I think this is her name helped me out. I went into the exam room and it was like you would expect. Clean and comfortable. The place was spotless. Octavia was very nice and did ultra therapy on me and got to know me as the patient a little better. By the time she was done all the muscles surrounding the pain spot were loosening up and started to feel better. After her part of my treatment was done, it was time to meet Dr Press for a one on one. I explained to him where the pain was happening and he gave me my adjustment and the instant he was done, I felt significantly better. I will say this, Dr Press let me know that wasn’t done. I needed to follow the instructions he gave me while at home and had to go back a few more times. At home routine: Heat, stretching and mobilization. He sent me an email with different stages of stretches and exercises to accelerate my progress. I did them religiously, because I wanted to get better faster. Conclusion: My back is all better after 3 visits. I highly recommend Dr. Press and his team. They are professional, warm and knowledgeable. Each one knows what they are doing and are very helpful and they took my insurance. Dr. Press’ expertise and experience shows. The icing on the cake is he is a very decent and friendly guy. Sciatica and spinal disc patients: Look no further, Dr. Wayne Press DC is YOUR SOLUTION to your painful situation! Dr. Press is a Chiropractic Orthopedist, and he has helped relieve my tremendous pain from a rather large bulging L3/L4 disc that was revealed by an MRI. I had reached for an object below and to my right that resulted in a back spasm so painful that I dropped to the floor, and was in agony for two days. In hindsight, this was after several months of weakness in my lower right leg that I had mistakenly attributed to a previous knee injury. Compounding the situation was what I ALSO self-misdiagnosed as a pickleball-related gluteal muscle strain. After fruitlessly pursuing other alternatives, I researched chiropractors for sciatica, and thankfully found Dr. Press. Other sciatica patient's reviews mentioned that Dr. Press had them pain free after two weeks! When I saw that, I knew I needed to contact Dr. Press to work on my back. I'm completing my third week of treatments and seeing continual incremental improvements, but that's on me as I should have sought out Dr. Press' insight and skill months ago, instead of trying to "play through the pain" and erroneously thinking "it'll heal on its own". I was impressed that Dr. Press regularly greets patients personally as you enter the office, and his team prepares patients for adjustment beforehand, using a combination of ultrasound and TENS machines that loosen tense, painful muscles. His practice runs really efficiently, and wait times rarely exceed five minutes from completion of a brief intake form. I went to another prominent local chiropractic practice for maintenance several years ago and regularly waited 20-45 minutes before going in for treatment. Not at Dr. Press' practice! We have already personally referred several friends and neighbors, and all have expressed how pleased they are with the reduction in their pain, and improvement in the quality of their lives! Five strong stars for Dr. Wayne Press DC and his team!!!
