Read MoreSome years ago, this doctor delivered my child while I was on a complex immigration status adjustment process (American parents, me born outside the US and here on a visa). When he was called on emergency to help with the delivery, he became somewhat unprofessional by making comments of how I could go to jail for having a child in the US while being an illegal all while I was in deep labor, I remember one of the nurses telling him to stop with the comments. I became a citizen 2 years after. And though I am grateful to him for safely delivering my child, recently having discovered in psych therapy how that experience negatively affected my life.
