Read MoreI wish I had the chance to review the doctors because I heard great things but this office staff is awful. I scheduled an appoint about six weeks out as a new patient. I was told I needed to provide my previous medical records. I explained to them that I moved here from out of state and my previous physician had retired and closed his single doctor practice and I was not aware of any way to l obtain these records. I have a voicemail on my phone from someone in the scheduling department confirming that they would waive this requirement.
Fast forward to the date of my appointment. I showed up just before my scheduled time and was told they cancelled my appointment due to lack of medical records. I was obviously confused. They said they tried to call and couldn’t leave a message. When I inquired as to why they didn’t email me, I was told “they don’t email” and I should have signed up for their portal. When I asked when they sent this portal link they could not confirm. I had no email or text message inviting me to sign up for the portal. After 8 seconds of the receptionist looking in the system she found the note from scheduler about the medical records. She stated the note was left in the wrong place so obviously it wasn’t their fault the appointment got cancelled. Of course, things happen, when can I come in? About another month. I decided maybe this place isn’t for me.
I totally understand things happen but the condescending attitude of the receptionist and whatever manager came out after was insulting. A simple “hey we screwed up, maybe I can figure something out and see what we can move around” would’ve fixed this instead of repeatedly reaffirming about how I messed this situation up somehow. I really hope they don’t treat everyone this was but seeing their current google ratings, I shouldn’t be surprised.
To be fair, they offered me another appointment a week earlier but I am traveling that week and at this point won’t rearrange my schedule for them as I have no guarantee my next appointment wouldn’t get cancelled for their office staff’s incompetence.
