Read MoreFirst time using UTMB Urgent Care - Galveston, and was VERY impressed! I called after 8PM for an appointment, and was told that we could walk in, if we arrived by a certain time. We just made the cut off time, and were able to be seen immediately. The staff was very professional. Needed an x-ray, and although the staff was getting ready to close up and leave for the night, the technician and doctors stayed and were very efficient, professional, and friendly. We ended up a staying a bit after hours, but the staff was very accommodating, and did not rush us out. They made sure we completely understood the diagnosis, treatment, and symptoms that would warrant immediate follow-up emergency care. This experience was SOOOO much better than going to the ER and sitting and waiting for hours on end before even being seen by a doctor!
