I want to start by saying everyone was friendly, especially the nurse. She had a great personality which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1.
Let's start with the beginning of my visit. I made an appt for a physical and to get some birth control. I was supposed to be a new patient so I arrived 15 min early to fill out any paperwork/ forms before my appointment time at 9 am. The front desk lady, who was very nice, was coughing non stop. Then she preceded to tell me she was sick and not feeling well. So my question is, why exactly are you at a place that can potentially have immunocompromised patients? It's not a good first impression to have a sick person being the first face you see at your new doctors office.
The nurse brings me back at right at 9 (maybe 9:05) Which was perfect, she was social, great energy and made me feel better about my initial impression. She took vitals and told me the doctor would be in shortly.
Then I waited in the room until 9:48, for 40 minutes I sat in a room. No one poked their head in to let me know they were running behind, or a simple "im sorry we didn't forget about you , just running a little behind". I left the room at 9:48 because at this point in time I didn't see myself leaving by 10:10. I made my appointment at 9 so I could get my daughter on time and then head to my next appointment.
I work in the healthcare field mon-fri 8-5 so to get a day off to actually get an appointment for myself is rare.
I'm so disappointed in my visit, lack of communication and courtesy of time. I should not have to wait until an hour after my appontment time to be seen.
