I booked online. I brought cash to cover (what I thought was) the cost of the service, plus to give a decent tip. I see from several posts that others have had similar issues from the workers about tipping. The amount of cash did cover the cost of the massage; however, it left nothing towards a tip. I tried to explain and apologize to the girl that I'd know the prices are different (higher) for next time. I know it is customary to tip, but the customer should not be made to feel obligated or like it's a requirement to do so. The girl made it seem like it was unacceptable and was very rude, when it is their website that needs updating, not my fault, as the customer. Finally, after several minutes of being made to feel less than for trying to explain, the girl literally said to me, "I understand no more English." and spun around and walked away from the counter!
Furthermore, I always try to be open to therapists' techniques, and maybe it was my fault that I did not speak up, but during the massage she kept using her elbow to knead on top of of my shoulder blade. It was very uncomfortable. It made me wonder if she read my suggested areas to target bc it seemed like she was doing her on thing. I booked a massage to relax. She kept kneading so hard and fast that I was literally being shaken at times. Between the rude customer service and the hard strokes, I feel like what I went for was not accomplished. Sheesh!
