Read MoreIn November of 2020 my bride was given a prescription by Doctor Stallings for blood test. Due to our insurance we had to go to Quest Diagnostics for the test. I month after the test we were contacted by Quest demanding payment for the A1C test. Because “Medicare” had denied payment on the claim! The reason was that Dr. Stallings and or staff had “FAILED” to put the “Medical Necessity” code information stating the reason for the test!!!
I contacted Doctor Stallings’s Ofice Manager. I explained this to her and she stated “ I have no idea as to what you are talking about”! I explained to her again but then told her that my doctor had the same issue before and they fixed the issue. She then wanted to know who my Doctor was because “SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW OR WHAT TO DO AND WANTED THEM TO TELL HER HOW”!!! The next day she contacted me stating that “I NEEDED TO CONTACT QUEST AND HAVE THEM TO FAX HER A REQUEST-FOR THE IMFO.”! So I did, they stated by their policy
they could not contact Dr. Stallings’s Office! After advising Dr. Stallings Manager she stated she would see what she could do. Since this occurred NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! Quest states that Dr. Stallings office has not contacted them in any way! We even spoke to DOCTOR STALLINGS herself and she assured us they would take care of the issue… but it is now 11 months after the test was done and according to both Quest and Medicare Dr. Stallings Office have done NOTHING! Quest is now demanding that we pay for the test! We have been back and forth with them more than 5 times trying to get Doctor Stallings to resolve this! But her staff either do not know how to fix this or WON’T!!!
On 10-21-2021 I once again contacted Dr. Stallings office to resolve the issue, they told me once again that “ I NEED TO HAVE QUEST SEND THEM A COPY OF THE BILL”!!! I TOLD THEM THAT I HAVE ALREADY GIVEN THEM A COPPY OF THE BILL 4 MONTHS AGO!!!
ALL THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IS FOR DOCTOR STALLINGS OR STAFF TO PROVIDE THE PROPER CODE AND REASON FOR THIS TEST TO QUEST AND MEDICARE!!! These people are incompetent and apparently do not care about fixing THIER MISTAKES! Nor care about their patients!!! 11 months, dozens of calls and they STILL HAVE’T FIXED THIS!!! It is their negligence and incompetence that caused this!!! NOT OURS WE WENT TO DR. STALLINGS FOR MEDICAL HELP NOT FOR MENTAL STRESS!!!UPDATE!!!
Dr. Stallings and Quest was advised by me that Medicare stated they “THE PROVIDERS OF SERVICES” need to file a written appeal to Medicare. Both Dr. Stalling and Quest Laboratories refused to file the appeal!!!
Quest advised the would send the bill to a collection agency on me.
At this time I paid the bill in total. I am now in touch with my attorney to file suit against Dr. Stalling.
This is utterly ridiculous. You go to a doctor for healing not for mental anguish and stress! In my opinion.
