Abysmally unprofessional:
Repeated harassment for additional tip (on top of the 25% I gave!) was extremely unprofessional and irritating. It wasn’t just from the massage therapist who worked on me – but also later her colleague. They asked at least five times. I had to raise my voice very firmly and insist I was already giving 25%.
Very good massage
I called in advance and asked whether someone could provide deep tissue work. The receptionist told me she thought so. She suggested that I try for 30 minutes, and continue for a full 60 minutes if I found it satisfactory. The massage therapist was very good: a solid 4. Her work on my feet, in particular, was excellent.
However, we simply couldn’t understand each other at a few points. In particular , she seemed to think she was only going for 30 minutes, and I explained to her my agreement with the receptionist. She left for five minutes, presumably to talk to someone, before finally coming back and seeming to understand that she was going for a full 60 minutes. There were other breakdowns in communication. I’m generally happy to be accommodating of this. And, it took a bit of work at times – and I’m not sure that we fully understood each other.
