A friend who still lives in Stillwater recommended Dr. Wedlake very highly. Man, what a change. Dr. Wedlake, unlike our previous doctor, spoke directly to us and not around us. He explained everything in a language we could understand. He is very practical and was extremely engaging with my son. I couldn't say a single thing bad about the man even if I wanted. Now, my son actually believes he will improve and has hope again that his seizures can be controlled or (hopefully) eliminated all together. Even the office staff were very supportive. When we explained just how bad my son's seizures were dislocating joints and causing him to hurt himself with falls and sudden onsets that he could not control even with the medication he'd been taking for seizures, we received a call within a couple days notifying us of a cancellation. It's been a journey for us over the past year trying to find a good doctor who would take a sincere interest in my son's health and well being. We found him when we found Dr. Wedlake and wouldn't change doctors now even if we were paid to do so. He definitely impressed us and we look forward to working with him to get my son back on track and on his feet.
Update:
My son continues to improve. We realize that the medication he's taking is new to him and it may take a little while for the medication to reach full potency, but the results are phenomenal. His seizures are down over 90% right out of the chute. Now that the seizures are settling down, we can see everything that Dr. Wedlake explained to us. We're so happy we were referred to this clinic. Yes, we still have a journey in front of us, but it's so much easier with Dr. Wedlake's gifted advice and genuine concern on our side.
