Read MoreI never got to see a doctor because I have been denied care by this facility. The woman who answered the phone was rude, unprofessional, unsympahetic and a disgrace to the profession. I explained how I have called every facility local to me and was denied care. I am an SSI recipient due to my illness. I just moved from a thousand miles away n am out if meds and need care immediately. She refused and simply said we arent taking new patients. I then explained that SS themselves referred me... Still no new patients. So I ask why and scoffed at n told call someplace else. I call back later in tears because i gave nowhere else to turn and asked why... Why cant you help me? Whhyy?? And again the same deplorable woman scoffed and hung up on me. This is by the far the worst experience in mental health care i have experienced in 20+ years. This horrid being on the phone should not be allowed to treat people like this ... Its also illegal to deny care to anyone with insurance on SSI. I highly advise Dr. Becker to reevaluate his staff as tomorrow morning have no choice but to go to an ER tomorrow, report this neglect and let the authorities sort it out. Such a disgrace!!!
