Scheduled an appointment in November of 2024. I received a call yesterday, saying they would have to reschedule my appointment for this coming Tuesday April 15th, 2025. Since I have waited this long, I figured what was another week or so. When calling in to reschedule I was informed that they wouldn’t be able to get me in till December 18th, 2025. Obviously this is unacceptable, and expressed that. I will say the guy who was on the other end was very pleasant and understood my frustration, so props to him. He informed me that they were down a dental assistant and this was the need to reschedule. How was this realized 5 days prior to this appointment? How is it acceptable to move an appointment that YOU had to reschedule 8 months later? I understand being understaffed, however, I would expect some accommodation for the client. I’d have been fine scheduling another month out or even 2 months, but that’s just crazy. Long story short, found another dentist with an appointment in 3 months. I’d save yourself the potential hassle and schedule with another practice.
