Occupational Therapy was recommended by my neurosurgeon...after I had the center of my c-3-8 vertebrae removed and metal rods and screws pu in, in their place on Oct. 6, 2021. I have spinal stenosis, narrowing of the spinal column, and I am sooooooo glad I went and met the OT Lori! She is wonderful! I had about 6-8 sessions with her, warming my hands in milled corn-cob, then this like "rolfing" of my palms and (underside) of my arms, which I could not watch, but which relieved me of the constant tingling and buring/freezing pain I had experienced for three years...I thought tonight would be my last session, but my hands feel soooo good, I am going to call tomorrow to see if I can get one more appointment with Lori (I have maxed my out of pocket insurance payment, so why not?) before I have to go back to paying 100% of the cost. Which is considerable...but even with this, well worth it...if I need a "booster" OT for my hands next year, I'll definitely splurge!
Thank you Lori!
