I was very greatful that secret gardens could get me in on short notice. All I needed was a blowout and style on my asymmetrical bob. Unfortunately my experience with Inez was similar to be practiced on by a cosmetology student.
First, the shampoo was incredibly sloppy. She wore long bell ssleaves that wiped my face Everytime she moved her arms to shampoo. She didn't contain the water to my hair which meant half my face got wet. And she didn't properly towel dry my hair so when I got up it was literally pouring drips.
And yes she attempted to blow dry my hair while it was literally sopping wet (bad news for anyone who's hair has texture). It was like she had never done a blowout before. She haphazardly clipped my hair up so when she tried it brush it out with the blow dryer it pulled chunks from the clipped portion out. There was no straightening with the blow dryer and I watched the frizz build up in my hair, defeating the purpose of even getting a blow out.
Then came the miniature flat iron. It was literally a quarter inch wide. And I have thick hair that requires heat to tame. It pulled my hair out as she attempted to straighten and and it wasn't hot enough so the frizz just built. Finally I asked for a different iron.
Then she attempted to straighten my bangs in the wrong direction. I pointed this out. Unfortunately it was too late and my bangs which normally require blow drying and flat ironing to get them to lay flat in submission where now scattered all over my forehead. Her solution? Hair spray!
At this point I wanted to grab the flat iron out of her hand and just do it myself.
When I went to pay, she said her credit card reader was broken since THIS MORNING. Maybe you should tell your clients this before you do their hair? I never carry cash, period. She wanted me to wait while she called customer service to fix it. Um, no thank you. You could have done this before I came. The salon was empty (in hindsight that should have been my warning sign.)
Fortunately another stylist there had pity on her and ran my card on her reader.
But seriously, do not go here. I guarantee u can do a better job yourself.
