Read MoreI visited the Riverview health hospital in Westfield after falling while skiing. When the MRI came back that I completely tore my ACL, with partial tears in my meniscus and MCL I got referred to see Dr. Scott Smith. During my first visit with him, he did a wonderful job walking me and my mother through the entire process. He had a knee model where he showed and explained every little detail and kindly walked me through my MRI images. Explaining different options I had and being so understanding. He made me feel very confident that I would be taken care of well. A couple weeks later I had my surgery with Dr. Smith. The ENTIRE team at the Riverview hospital were fantastic! From the minute I arrived until I got wheeled out to the car, I was always getting checked on and felt safely taken care of. Dr. Smith and the anesthesiologist came in before my surgery to check on me and make sure I was comfortable and had any questions.
Afterwards they said the procedure went perfectly, and had all of my medications ready at the hospital before I left. Nurse Kimberly H went above and beyond. She was so sweet, and made my experience more comfortable because of how personable she was. The day after my surgery I got 2 phone calls from the hospital nurses checking on me which was SO kind of them, they have showed such genuine care. I beyond blessed that God was with the whole medical team during my surgery and for Dr. Smith doing such a fantastic job!
