I really like this Dr.s office. I’ve been coming here for years even before Raju took over and they changed to Unicare. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but that’s to be expected. I’ve never had any issues with any of the nurses or ladies in the front office.
However there is one lady in particular in their scheduling department they should really reconsider her employment with the company. I asked the ladies name and she hesitated to give it me so I wouldn’t be surprised if she gave me the wrong name. Someone by the name of Laura Debra spoke to me in the rudest manner.
I called to check up on a Gynecologist referral I had been waiting three weeks for. Apparently their usual gynecologist had a family emergency and was out of the office. So they were supposed to send me a referral for outside of the office.
I initially spoke to someone and explained everything. I asked if by any chance their Gynecologist was back in office but if not I would still like to be referred out. She put me on hold to check but because I was on hold so long it rerouted to someone else.
The person answers “yes” with an annoyed tone. I start to explain about the Referals I had been waiting weeks for and she interrupted me to tell me how I was previously scheduled two times and was a no show and if I’m a no show again… I interrupted her and explained that is not why I was calling. I explained that I had only one no show and that was due to an emergency and I called immediately to reschedule. She then goes on to say well on this date you were also a no show. No I in fact canceled because my childcare flaked and I didn’t want to bring my rambunctious toddler to my gynecologist visit.
None of this was her business. I was calling to see about a referral I hadn’t received yet not previous appointments. She then says “ok what is it that you want, I can transfer you now to make an appointment, this is not that department.” I had to then reiterate that I wanted to know if they had a gynecologist back in office and if not yes I would need to be referred out. I have never been spoke to like this by any one in healthcare and find it appalling.
She stated they had a new gynecologist and she would transfer me now. When I asked for her name she went quiet, then said her name is Laura. Ok what about your last name. She says D. Why do I have to ask her what the D stands for? When you give someone your name, you give your entire name so it was obvious she was reluctant to do so.
It’s unfortunate that I’m sure I will have to do deal with her again being she is in the referral department and I really hope someone looks in to this. I’m sure she has received other complaints about her attitude and honestly should not represent this company.
