Carson City Public Guardian for 4 years, I have been a Private Professional Guardian for almost 40 years, and I have been in charge of medical treatment for almost 200 of my Wards and Protected Persons.
In 2020 I was named Guardian of a brother and sister that had been warehoused in a Skilled Nursing Facility, but should have not been there. I moved them to an Assisted Living Facility in Carson City and I was forced to choose a doctor for them. I was given two choices and I picked incredibly well as I hired Dr. Robert Fliegler.
Dr. Fliegler cared for them as they had ignored their deteriorating health. But, Dr. Fliegler went out of his way to help me devise a plan to move the Wards home with 24 hour care. The quality of life and improvement of their cognitive abilities were dumb founding and major credit must go to Dr. Fliegler in encouraging the move, working with a RN to train the staff, and making regular visits including coming to all parties so he could see how my Wards were really doing. The family, the staff, and especially me can't compliment Dr. Fliegler enough for his care.
I then hired Dr. Fliegler to be my physician after a major medical issue in 2011. I still use and rely upon Dr. Fliegler even though I live 500 miles from his as he is just a text or a video call away. Dr. Fliegler had seen me through so much and now I am the healthiest I have been in the last 25 years.
After Dr Fliegler saved my life, I hired him to take care of my wife who had just underwent cancer surgery and had a stroke while on the table. I said it at her memorial and I say it here, that Dr. Fliegler added years of quality life to her in spite of indecision by her two oncologist that would have allowed her to pass the first year.
The incredible part of Dr. Fliegler is that the specialist look upon him as their equal, their resource, and he is always part of the conversation whether it be cancer, renal failure, heart issues or whatever.
Dr. Fliegler is just the best.
