His staff is rude, they never pick up the phone, they never return messages, and there was once a time they were supposed to fax progress notes to my insurance so that I could get my MRI that Dr. Coats referred for me. My time and gas was wasted going 40 min away just to get turned around because of his irresponsible staff not doing their job. Dr. Coats in my opinion is inconsiderate, in-compassionate, and unprofessional. Once after he examined me, i wanted to ask a few questions, and he was practically rushing me out of his exam room, holding the door open standing in the threshold barely answering my questions. I have carpal tunnel in my hands from paralytic anxiety (my hands cramp up during anxiety attacks) and limited mobility in my left shoulder due to my surgery from lymph nodes being taken out due to stage 3 breasts cancer. I had him look at my shoulder and he aggressively moved my arm around to see the mobility in it and put me in more pain than I was already in-during. He gave me a steroid shot in my shoulder that I was extremely anxious about receiving, & didn’t try to calm me down or reassure my anxiety. I also received a steroid shot in my hands, prior to getting the shoulder shot, and had a panic attack after the shot in my hand. I had to go back for my right hand, and almost passed out from pain, yet and still no compassion from this man whatsoever. I highly do not recommend this doctor, not even to a dieing dog! Clearly he doesn’t have a high star rate, so I see I’m not the only one who sees problems with this physician.
