As for those who have given poor ratings due to appointments cancelled due to late arrivals or lack of paperwork, it’s not just about what the patient has to do, but what the staff and doctors need to do once you arrive with your paperwork and medical records before you are brought back into an exam room. It is frustrating having to wait. No one wants to wait. No one wants to lose work time for poor care or be canceled due to late arrival.
Each patient requires different and individual care. Schedule times are just a guideline and the doctor nor their staff can predict how long you or another patient will take. If you are scheduled for a 15 min appt, that time is only for your time with the doctor , not for paperwork or reviewing your outside medical records or once a treatment plan is decided, the time to order your medications or order your diagnostic tests or make sure your insurance is accepted by another entity, etc.
There are offices that just want to pack patients on their schedules for monetary reasons, but there are offices that run behind because the doctors give each patient the attention he/she needs and deserve. Drs. Agarwal are the latter.
if you want good care and you see a busy office, it can be a sign of great professional providers. Once you meet with the provider you’ll know if he/she is interested in your care.
