Pure Yoga has been a meaningful part of my life for the past seven years. I started attending classes when I was pregnant with my firstborn eight years ago. That led to mommy-and-me classes, toddler classes for both of my children (now ages 3 and 7), and my own personal practice. My husband and I have also attended several couple-based yoga classes together, which have been grounding, uplifting, and deeply meaningful. Pure Yoga became a sanctuary for me and a positive weekly retreat for my family. It’s one of the rare places in our area where both adults and kids can feel safe, supported, and have fun.
Last year, I had the honor of being a Karma Yogi volunteer, which connected me with so many wonderful people in the Pure Yoga community. It became a much-needed escape during a time of deep physical and emotional healing, after chronic pain ultimately caused me to lose my career. Ashley was incredibly kind and supportive throughout, and I’ll always be grateful for her compassion. I would still be volunteering if my kids’ summer schedules weren’t so full — but I’ll be back once time is on my side again. That said, the studio’s energy never really leaves me. My family still incorporates the tools and teachings we’ve learned from Ashley and her team into our everyday lives, and I continue to practice daily at home.
I dream of the day when my body is healed enough to begin working toward yoga teacher certification — and there’s no question I’ll be doing all of my training hours at Pure Yoga. Ashley is not only a gifted teacher, but someone who leads with heart and authenticity.
Pure Yoga is more than a studio — it’s a community, a place for healing, connection, and growth. I’ll always return when the time is right. Thank you, Ashley, for being a light in my life and in this community.
