Everyone is always so great. Even the young teens that you can tell they're at their first job. Management loves rearranging things (marketing strategy, I assume), but the upbeat and friendly staff make up for it.
Side note: I once saw an early 20's stocker really killing it, working and moving in a way that you dont see often while I was lost in a realm of indecisiveness. I tried to poach him. Gave him a card with the "If you're ever looking" explanation and never heard from him. Good on Publix!
We've seen some of the same aged staff for years, which means it's likely a good working environment behind the scenes, as alluded above. This matters to me because of all of the elderly who have no choice but to work these kinds of places these days.
We shop in bulk, and there have been many times a register was opened for us; something we'd never ask for or expect. Never with attitude, always with professionalism and smiles, receptive towards our gratitude. We've all encountered the opposite more than we care to.
The variety is doable, and the buy-one-get-one deals help take the sting of the marked up costs down. Except eggs. LOL. Don't get me started.
Pros outweigh cons, and that's what matters. There's pretty much no other real choice in Palm City besides another Publix (good for the monopoly, I guess LOL), so we are grateful that this location is as pleasant and well ran as it is.
Also, the deli workers kill it. Everything is always fresh. They once offered to special order a product that was sold out, some Boarshead horseradish pickles or something random like that. I didn't even know that was an option and never would have asked. Always above and beyond. Very cool.
