I am in awe of this store, and Michael, from the deli.
Yesterday, in the aftermath of the disastrous historic flood in Palm Harbor caused by hurricane Helene, I headed to publix at Crystal Beach plaza to pickup a few dozen subs people pulled together to buy and feed the residents of Baywood Village, whom's homes have been devastated by Helene.
When I arrived, I came to the quick realization that I had placed an order at the wrong Publix, and the sandwiches were made in Crystal River, FL.
I burst into tears, as this was a 1.5 hour drive, and we had hungry, exhausted families counting on this.
Michael calmly, and without hesitation just told me "we'll take care of this, just give me some time and we'll figure something out." He then told me I could leave and he would deliver the sandwiches to my house. At first, the two publix stores were each going to drive halfway to bring them, and lastly they decided to REMAKE all the sandwiches in the correct location.
Michael then delivered them an hour and a half or so later.
They fed families that lost EVERYTHING.
Michael, and Publix, this was just an incredible gesture and we could not be more grateful. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.
