Read MoreI'll just start from the beginning & go from there. So when I called to schedule I made it clear I didn't want my medications to be taken over. I said that I wanted rescreened for ADHD,anxiety,depression etc. I even clarified that whatever we speak about in session is confidential/my doctor won't know. This gave me the indication that it was going to be similar to therapy sessions as it would indicate to anyone. I arrived 8 minutes late, which I know was my bad but I did text saying I'd be 10 minutes late. Once I arrived, I walked in & she goes "who are you" so I'm like *insert name* for our noon session. She goes "I canceled it, you're late by 15 minutes". Once again, I know it was my fault but what an awkward foot to start off on, already a rude tone. She tells me to wait in the lobby (I didn't get service in there) so I went & asked if I could connect to the wifi, she looked at me like I had 3 heads & said "why do you need to be on your phone right now". Mind you, we weren't in session,no paperwork being done I'm just sitting in tbe lobby lol So I'm like I need to text my ride when to come...she says she doesn't have the wifi password but I can use her phone to call for my ride. As I'm filling out the paperwork I realize it's all about medication release. So I went back in, I said I'm not trying to have my medications managed (we already established this over the phone). She then says where did you find me...I'm like Google? Then she says I only do med management & some psych therapy on the side. So I'm like yes I'm looking for therapy, not medication management. She then says give me 5 minutes to think about it (taking me for therapy) which was weird. Then she tells me no, but she can give me a list of what I'm looking for, which was nice. I just don't understand why she was acting confused & condescending towards me....
So for future patients I guess she only does med management & picks & chooses who she wants to do therapy with? lol Strange encounter, you'd think I had 3heads.
