DISAPPOINTING MASSAGE THERAPIST BEHAVIOR
I requested 60 minutes Swedish massage for $70 and I got given 45 minutes for $70 and she requested a 20% tip. She started my massage at 4:10 pm and finished at 5 pm. There is a big clock in the massage room and I looked at it. The therapist left the room 3 times during the session, twice to speak and giggle with a client that just had a massage and was speaking aloud with the other therapist in the hallway.
When I paid, I said nothing about it, I didn't complain. Even with all the above listed, I gave the therapist a small tip.
She was not happy about it and told me that she wanted a 20% tip not less. I explained to her that tipping is not an obligation but a courtesy and she should not obligate clients to give her a tip. I took the freedom to mention that I shouldn't have paid $70 but $52.50 since she only gave me 45 minutes. She knew about it because she replied...Oh..yes..okay then.
The massage itself was average, that therapist was not focusing in what she was doing, it was obvious that her mind was somewhere else, but the experience was not good.
That is how a therapist managed to turn what should have been a relaxing experience into an unpleasant and stressful one, and how she lost a client.
