I will state that I started to go here years and years ago. Like well over 10 plus years ago. I had always had a great experience when Corey Dahl, PA was the person that I saw. Tracey was great too. Had a bad experience with Scott but that was years and years ago and I am not even sure if he is still there.
I saw Corey for like I said numerous years and things were going well. I had been on an established med regimen, same meds, same dose, for going on probably 7 plus years.
Corey eventually left to persue other career endevours and once that happened, I seemed to have been paired up with a very nice young man named Jake however he seemed a bit out of his depth/element. With that being said, he seemed uncomfortable with discussing anything pain or medication related. Even if it did not have a mention of med/dose change. He seems like a nice young man however I do not hink that this is the field for him.
I never once asked for an increase in meds over the last 7 plus years and actually went down in dose/strength, numerous times.
Shortly after Corey left I was then told that my drug test came back dirty. I can tell you that I do not do illegal drugs and if I were going to do any, which again, I do not, I am not such a moron that I would do them right before the appt I have in which is pre scheduled and in which I know that I need to test for. I have not, or had not failed a test EVER in the well over 10 plus years going there (Again I do not do illegal drugs. You never know what is in that ish plus that stuff is nasty. ICK!!!). Never had a single issue, etc. Somehow one of "my tests" came back dirty. I can tell you that I never once failed a test and have ZERO clue how this happened. I even paid to have them retest it with another company however it was a company of their choosing and I have yet to see the "results" that still came back positive.
Lets geat real. If I was a drug user and if I was going to use illegal drugs vs working w/ my pain specialist that I have successfully done for over a decade, that I would have done it well over 10 years ago. They refused to even speak to me after this. The office manager was very mean the first time I spoke to her and the provider that took over for Corey would not even take 5 mins out of his day to speak to me.
I would think that after 10 plus years, likely more about 14 years, that I would get more than a notification that they canceled all of my prescriptions and appts. I had been doing so very well in my treatment plan that had not changed in YEARS. I was finally able to work and do things in life.I had been going here for so long and was doing so well that I would have NEVER compramized that for anything. I understand that I do not have a way to prove it to them however I am convinced that they somehow swapped my test with someone else's or something happened as they claimed that it was barely over the cutoff level. There is no other way that my test could have tested as such. The math is not mathing here. This makes me so very frustrated and sad that things had to end this way and that there was nothing else that they were willing to do other than cut me off and send me on my way. Makes me wonder now if they really even verified my test now.
They are, or at least have been, a decent place to go in my experience, however when you somehow end up in a situation like mine, then nobody will go to bat for you. I get that they are likely in a tough situation however I would think that my 14 years plus of negative drug tests, always showing up to appts, being honest about things, etc. and all that with me only being 36 would be proof for something. I started going here in what I believe was my early to mid 20's. Never once had an issue until my provider changed. This new provider always acted like he didn't really care for me even either. Not only going through Chronic Pain and whatnot but have been going through Cancer treatment and here we are.
I wish you all the best.
