I have been a patient of Dr Oaks for over 14 years. He has employed wonderful staff and technicians during my time as a patient. That said, he has recently hired a new receptionist who has been in my opinion, responsible for creating an incredibly hostile office environment, resulting in me no longer being a patient of Dr Oaks. As background, after explaining the reason for my missed appointment e.g. due to a burst pipe in my condo, she was still adamant/insistent that I pay the fine. And, even continued to say that long time patients are habitually known for missing appointments. That said, I had previously spoken to Dr and he I had agreed to forgive $50.00 penalty. Apparently that message did not make it to the front office, as during my next visit I questioned about the charge, and was met with such a hostile response, I immediately terminated my relationship with the office. I was told “I’m sorry that office wasn’t able to meet your continued needs”, my response to her was “Let’s make one point perfectly clear! It is not office, but specifically you, as the sole reason for me terminating my relationship with Oaks Family Dentistry”.
