He has been my primary for a few years now. I rarely have to see him but when I do it’s for something more serious. Recently, I completely lost my hearing in one year for no reason at all. I made an appointment to see him to follow up with what to do since this was so sudden. I was told I have fluid in my ears (which he told me I had at my LAST appointment the week prior and didn’t say/recommend anything) and he was “positive and certain” it would be cleared up with a steroid pack, prescribed flonase, and an antibiotic that I “shouldn’t even need”. I questioned about seeing an ENT and audiologist but he was “certain” that wasn’t necessary. After, of course, a failed improvement, I am now under “medical emergency” because this was mistreated. Sudden hearing loss IS a medical emergency and his treatment options have been stated by both the ENT, audiologist, and the hyperbaric facility as “wrong and insufficient”. When you have sudden hearing loss, there is a very small window to which is can come back, IF treated correctly. I am now completely deaf in my ear with a concern of the other ear as well. We have almost completely missed this window and I am now paying for the after math of a careless treatment option. I am saddened. disgusted. but I can’t say I’m surprised; it’s Aurora. It’s a failed system. Do NOT come here.
