Read MoreWhen this journey began, we've always heard Dr. Wilshire's name was thrown around but never thought to inquire about for some unknown reason. Until January 2023. My husband and I finally agreed we needed to "get serious" about this and find a way to have a family. In our initial appointment, Dr. Wilshire was truly a fan favorite from the moment we walked into his office. He started off by how impressed he was with all our labs and how it really helped paint a picture for going forward. Dr. Wilshire referred to me as a zebra and after he found out I drink tequila straight he called me a remarkable zebra. He actually said, I feel that if we can get you pregnant, you'll have a healthy baby at the end and proceeded to tell us the protocol he would have us on. And by George, that's the plan we are currently living!
January 2024, we started the ball. Since the beginning of the year we have done STIMS, Retrieval, sent off embryo cells for grading, gotten the embryo results back, underwent exploratory surgery, and now we are in the midst of Transfer protocol! After almost 4 years of trying, we are really seeing the bigger picture! 💚 Here is to 2024, the year of DO BETTER. The year of Baby Burky. The year where my lifelong dream is going to come true.
I cannot thank Dr. Wilshire, his amazing medical scribes, Leslie, NP, Ashley at the front desk, and finally and most importantly Ms. Kim. Dr. Wilshire has a top notch team but there are a few who quite literally go above and beyond the call of duty and I, along with my entire tribe, am forever indebted to them. Kim is the sweetest, most kind-hearted, reassuring, get it done, make you feel heard and seen person I have ever met. Over the last 2 months we have connected immensely and I couldn't see myself going through this journey without her. Ashley and Hannah are so incredible, they are kind, they are passionate, they listen, and they always keep their word. Today at my procedure I met Leslie, she is going to be an absolute blast to work with. She answered my questions, she reassured me, and she listened. Those are truly amazing qualities in an RE clinic. Dr. Wilshire spent so much time with me today to make sure we were ready for transfer. We found out that I need ti go back under but Dr. Wilshire reassured me everything was going to be okay.
This clinic CARES! It's no wonder they are literally in the top 100 Reproductive Endocrinologist Clinics in the National.
