I was in the waiting room for 10 hours before being seen/treated for 2 hours in the ER. Others had been there over 14 hours and several just left after waiting so long. The nurses were negligent, rude, and patronizing to the patients. I was diagnosed with covid, all tests done within the first 2 hours, but didn't get treated for 10 hours. People lying on chairs, not being checked on while staff chatted, looked at phones. One nurse stated "Well I wish I had a magic wand to grant you all rooms" when a patient asked after a 12 hour wait. We all wanted care, any care, not condescending platitudes. The worst ER experience I've ever had. I am a retired nurse, and truly horrible negligence in that waiting area. But I was told it could be worse, because they've had patients wait for 27 hours before, as stated by their charge nurse Madison. Thank God I asked for a mask, because nothing was offered or a concern. This used to be a great hospital, what has happened? Rating =0, but that's not an option. Was there Sunday 7pm until Monday after 7 am.
